A few things about Chase...

OK, I know I have mentioned it before, but Chase is the most laid back baby ever! I have even come into his room in the morning (when Daddy took the nightshift) and our sweet little boy was just laying there, looking all around the room! He loves (well...at least tolerates without complaint) tons of kisses.

This little guy is just content with life and being a baby. I had all these "baby soothing" techniques stashed in my back pocket, a baby swing, and all the contraptions we ended up purchasing for Tate to try to calm him down, but I really haven't needed anything. He isn't even really overly fond of his pacifier. He doesn't really care for the sling, it seems he would prefer to be in his bassinet at nap time and not moving about with me. I will try it later when he is awake for longer stretches of time, because I like it!

Also, If I time it right, I can even put Chase down drowsy but awake in his bassinet and he will fall asleep peacefully on his own. No tip-toeing to his bed with him asleep in my arms, although it is sweet when he falls asleep on me. Bottom line, Chase is a slice of heaven! I just wish he was awake more hours in the day! :)

The few things Chase doesn't care for are diaper changes and being naked. But there are times he doesn't even mind those!

It seems everyone and their brother is sick, so Chase and I are sticking close to home at least for the first 6 weeks of his little life, which is only 2 1/2 more weeks (wow - that went fast). I could just not bear him getting pneumonia or the croup.

Here are pictures from a recent photo shoot of Chase down to his skivvies and on the blankey mommy crocheted for him out of soft warm wool.
