The Drive Home

We decided to leave earlier this time and get home in time to get 058some shut eye in bed before the day started. So we left right after lunch, just before 1 PM. We drove and drove and drove. We got to see the landscape we missed on our way in because it was pitch black. The coolest thing was the windmills, they really do look like enormous white flowers!

060Daddy made a little bed for Tate between the two seats in the back.

I think the bed helped. Both the boys woke up off and on after they dozed off around 8. But overall, they had a fairly good trip back.

The drive was pretty fast actually. We arrived home just before 2 AM. So our trip total was around 14 hours, even better time then we made on our way out. Once we hit home, the first thing we noticed was the snow on the trees and realized our garden froze while we were gone. We got over it pretty fast seeing as we were all dog tired. Then we all raced into the house, fell into bed (thankfully everyone fell asleep quickly) and then we all woke up around 7 AM, just like normal. Tate went to school at 8:30, Daddy is sleeping again and Mommy is now getting all her thoughts in order for the new week. AWWWW - ready to get back into our routine!
