Finished!

Tyler painted for 3 straight days! On Wednesday, he stayed up until 2 AM finishing up. Poor Daddy! He was very motivated and just kept seeing the end getting closer and closer. Finally, it was completed and it was worth all the effort! Pictures do not do the job justice, but here they are nevertheless.

 

Thursday morning Tyler sat and admired his word for a spell. Everything looks better, the pictures on the wall, the fan, the chair, the carpet...everything! In fact, we really like the mantel now, which we thought we were going to replace. The dark color just blends so nicely with the new look of the room. The only thing we think we could have done differently is paint a darker color on the accent wall, which is the whole length of the wall with the fireplace - you really can't see the color difference in the picture, it is even hard to see standing in front of it.

Notice the beautiful trim work all around the edges? It makes everything look so finished.

The rosy peach was a good choice for beneath the chair-rail, bold, but good! It goes well with the furniture and just gives a nice feel to the dinning room.
