Project Shed/Garage Remodel has commenced

In preparations for our growing family and desire for more space, we have decided to take on a new remodeling project. The garage will become the TV/family room/office/mud room space. Also, my laundry room is going to be opened up a bit to hold my two freezers and give me a little wiggle room. The current TV/family room will become the kids play area and toy storage. All sports items, games, legos, etc. will be stored here (except for baby items that need to stay upstairs). I am excited, but as I told Tyler today, talking about it sure is more fun than actually doing it!

Tyler and Tate spent about 2 hours this morning digging, measuring and positioning the planks for the retaining wall. This is the first stage of preparation for the new shed. The shed will house all our gardening tools, the tractor, and anything else we can stuff in there from the garage (yes, there will be some major spring cleaning done before the move). I forgot to snap a shot of both boys working together this morning (I will be sure to next time), but I did get a picture of Tyler on this misty, cold April afternoon to document the beginning of our long journey.
