I wouldn’t say Tate has an overly active nose picking habit, but it is just gross. One day at preschool while I waited for class to be over this little boy was digging and eating, digging and eating, digging and eating…..I had to turn away. Tate doesn’t do that (thankfully!), but I guess most kids do to a certain extent. Nevertheless, it is terribly impolite and something I encourage Tate to stop doing when I witness the act. I found myself asking, “do you need a tissue?” a lot, so I decided to come up with a rhyme for when I see him doing it to help the concept sink in…he loves it!
If you have an itch, scratch it with your thumb
Using your finger, well it’s just plain dumb
If you have a booger hanging in your nose
Using tissue makes manners shine from your head to your toes
