Just some tid-bits about this precious little slice of heaven!
² He wants to do everything his brother does – already!
² He loves being outside, even if it is raining. He likes to crawl around the deck, looking at the chickens, finding little twigs and pointing at the birds.
² He loves to climb and get dirty.
² He is starting to not want to sleep as much, he fusses a bit more when I lay him down and sits up and plays in his crib to put off the inevitable. Although, once he does fall asleep he still is a champion sleeper. He is on the road to transitioning to one nap, so the next few weeks will probably be a little up and down with sleep.
² Food is a passion – I am trying to put a nixie on picking at food in the kitchen because every time he sees anyone put anything in their mouth he signs "eat” (putting his fingers to his mouth) and makes his little “ugg…uggg” noises.
² He loves holding his last bite of food in his mouth – we call it the “the chipmunk.”
² He has a little callous on the back of his right hand because he likes to carry a toy (usually a car) around with him while he crawls.
² He loves baths and signs it too!
² He still loves the ergo and I put him in it regularly – at the library, taking Tate into school or VBS and hikes.
² When Daddy leaves he blows him kisses – totally adorable!
² He is starting to say the beginning of words – pl for play, pu for puppy, da for daddy. bokkk for the chickens…those are the one’s I can really hear so far. I am sure he is saying more.
² Other signs Chase knows: please, dog, eat, milk, all done, daddy (although I think he uses it for mommy too). I am working on thank you, water, cheese, and a few others. He picks them up pretty fast.
Chase is a healthy little chunk! Look how precious!
