Different

This last week was different. Tate was gone for so much of the week. It was strangely quiet. Lately, Chase has been waking up before the hens (around 6), so he is down and out by 11, so his nap is long. It is fun for Chase and I to have some time on our own, but we both miss Tate.

Tate starts Awana tonight, so another first. I think he will really enjoy it and I am looking forward to memorizing scripture with him!

Here are some highlights from the last week or so:

When we play in Chase’s room, he jumps on his big stuffed dog like a chair and kicks back and flips through a book.

Tate wrapped up Giz for a mid-morning cuddle.

Tate made this crown in Sunday school last week (the story of Ruth) and he keeps wearing it all around the house.

Here is Chase having his morning oatmeal, he gets so messy and cute, I can’t help but take a few pictures!

Tate is pretty addicted to the game Sequence. I admit, it is my favorite too. Chase is a hoot! For the past few weeks as soon as the board and chips come out, he crawls over at lighting speed and asks to come up and “play.” Daddy helps Chase deal out the cards and then Chase gets his own bag of chips that he plays with and places all around the board. He is pretty content with his part in the game and doesn’t grab at the cards or other person’s chips…it is like he totally feels like one of the players!

Tyler is still plugging away at the remodeling job. He got in some good hours this last weekend and almost every night during the week he gets in an hour or so. The drywall sure does make it look more like a room!
