Blogging has been sporadic, I know! The only excuse I have is our crazy schedule! I mean, typically I try to keep our family pretty low key and simple, we have been hoppin’ more than usual lately. A sampling of things:
- My washer broke (so I had to do some laundry at a friends).
- CPR recertification to update our files with Bethany.
- I joined Moms in Touch on Monday mornings (a group of Moms that get together to pray for our children, typically for children in school and for the schools as well).
- I have been walking with a new friend, Mary Clark, which has been terrific! It has been a while since I have had a walking partner.
- Tate’s school has lots of activities (and even homework) that I need to stay on top of. I just talked to a friend with three kids in the charter school that Tate will be attending and she said it is unreal trying to keep up with all the activities, homework, permission slips, etc. for all three in different classes. I can see why!
- Tyler joined the Trustee Board at church.
- Tyler’s roll as technology guru at church also took a step up, everybody’s computers are mysteriously breaking one by one.
- The home improvement project is in that “what were we thinking” stage.
- Awana is in full force, so Tyler and Tate are gone one night a week, which is just different.
- Amy, our social worker, comes to do our home inspection next Thursday, so of course I want to make the best impression possible.
Usually, it is just me who gets caught up with too many extra circulars, but this time it is mostly Tyler and it is craziness! If Tyler isn’t working on the home improvement at night after dinner, he is revamping a computer for someone at church or going to a Trustee meeting or doing some extra work work because something came up during the day and being the stellar husband that he is, he still does his absolute best to get home to his family at 5 PM.
I just got back from a relaxing Mom/Daughter trip in Glenwood Springs, which was much needed. Then Tyler heads out for a camping trip with some men from church this weekend. Tate’s birthday is the following Saturday and then Susan comes in for a visit. A week later, Tyler flies out to Texas for work and a football game with his Dad and brother…phew!
These are all great things to be busy doing, but I am looking forward to it slowing down! We are anxiously awaiting the time when the home improvement project is completed (hopefully by the end of the year).
Blogging will commence to normal here shortly. To curb any Allbritton boy video needs, I did shoot this adorable video this morning!
