Poor MV

This is one of those therapeutic posts. Most will not want to see or read it, but it feels like it might be good for me to put it all down on “paper.” On Wednesday, the boys and I were on our way home from a lovely morning of Meals on Wheels, a few errands and going out to lunch when we rounded the corner of 73 (the little highway going to our house) in an area called the “S curves” and I noticed a vehicle out of control up ahead. The Jeep had skidded (I am sure because she was going way to fast) on the gravel put on the roads for traction on the snow fall from earlier in the week and it was fish-tailing all over the place. Instinctually I slowed down in hopes the Jeep would correct itself before it got closer. Unfortunately, the driver had overcorrected and headed right towards us, sliding sideways. Thankfully, she had slowed down and I was practically at a stop, so the impact was not terrible. We were all uninjured (except a little shaken up), which is the most important thing of course, however, we can’t say the same for the MV. Poor MV, she is in bad shape. I have been on the phone with insurance companies, rental car companies, the police…you name it. I never knew so much went into a car wreck….live and learn. I would have rather, of course, not experienced this, but I am grateful it was minor.

Jen,

I am so glad that you and the boys weren't injured. It sounds like you did the right thing and that it couldn't have been avoided. Ugh....no fun. Let me know if you need a ride somewhere if you run into problems with a rental.
