Moms Day

Dang it, we were all dressed up on Sunday for church and I plum forgot to get a picture with my boys! I will try to get that in before Tate and Tyler leave for TX on Thursday. But needless to say, I am IMG_5996blessed beyond words. My boys are so fantastically wonderful! All week Tate has been telling me what he is going to do for me…make my bed, clean the house, etc. His latest question is, what “big” job can I do for you, Mom? He doesn’t want little jobs, like feeding the dogs or watering plants anymore, he wants grown up jobs!

Here is a picture of the birdhouse Tate made for me, it is for mountain bluebirds.

Chase didn’t know what the heck was going on, but he has been enjoying every minute of every day, as usual!

My dear husband is SO wonderful – the best husband EVER really. He is such an engaged and loving Daddy (he even gave Chase’s kitty a kiss the other day!) and he works triple time for his family. Not only has work been obnoxiously demanding, but he has also been coming home to more work around the house. My Mom’s day gift this year was finishing up the new guest room. It is in preparation for “Allbritton Clean Sweep 2010” (more on that later).

IMG_5978So last Saturday, painfully early, Tyler crawled out of bed and began painting. Then he painted some more. He took a short break and the family went on a nice hike to let the paint dry. Then he painted some more. AND THENNNN…he painted some more (until 12:30 AM the next day to be exact)! He primed, topped that with 2 coats of the two colors, stained the shelves, brackets and door, and painted the trim and floor boards too. I mean to tell you, he worked his cute behind off and all for me!

The room looks GOOD, Tony Robins good, and we are now that much closer to having our house put together, everything in its final resting place. We have more space, less stuff (aka junk), and the house has a more relaxed feel. Now I just need to do the final step of the project with Susan later this month (that is the “Allbritton Clean Sweep 2010). I am so excited!

On Sunday, several people at church asked Tyler what he was going to do for me for Mother’s Day and because he didn’t do “typical” things like breakfast in bed, flowers, or take me out to eat, he felt bad. But he has given me the BEST Mother’s Day present!! He loves me and honors me and lives life WITH me EVERY DAY!!! And he ALWAY does special things for me, like working from dawn to dusk getting projects done that he really doesn’t feel like doing. So thank you my amazing husband!!! YOU ROCK MY WORLD!!
