Tomorrow Chase will be 10 weeks...WOW! It has gone by so quickly! Too quickly! He is still a sweet, easy-going content baby. I think with Chase's calm nature combined with the fact that this is our second time around we are having a more relaxed experience. I feel like I can enjoy everything a little more with Chase because I don't have to worry about the little details that are now second nature. Chase has really only two things he cries about..being hungry and sleepy. He is done crying about diaper changes, I suppose he realized he needed to learn to go with the flow since dirty diapers happen! :)
Last night Chase slept almost 6 hours straight, which was a nice stretch for both of us! He is a wonderful sleeper, but still so tiny. The night before he was up every 3 hours, so we are working our way to longer periods of sleep, but we are in a transition. The best thing about Chase's sleep habits is that he will typically fall right to sleep. He gives a little fuss telling me he is sleepy, I wrap him up in his "miracle blanket', we rock for a few minutes and when his eyes begin to droop, I put him down and away he drifts into dreamland. About 1 1/2 to 2 hours later he wakes up hungry.
There are still days when it seems he has a tough time keeping his sweet eyes open. It is hard work growing big and strong! And big and strong he is getting...it seems every time I go pick him up from a nap he has gotten a smidgen heavier. I want to savor every moment, because in the blink of an eye my little baby will be big enough to play and won't want to cuddle with mommy as much any more. :(
I am still attempting to get a really good smile on camera, one would think it wouldn't be as difficult as it has been, nevertheless here are some cute ones.
