We returned from our one-night stay at Breck yesterday afternoon. We had a blast! Tate had sooo much fun with Grandma and Papa on his special night away by himself from Friday to Saturday. They said Tate asked to go home one or two times, but it was all forgotten once the topic was changed and something new caught his attention.
We arrived around 2 on Saturday afternoon. We left right at Chase's nap time and he just drifted off into peaceful bliss about 10 minutes into the trip. It worked out perfectly. Here he is sleeping when we arrived.
We all piled into the condo, feed Chase, chatted and then headed out to walk the town. Then baby fell asleep for his third nap right in the stroller.
Here is me and my Mom!
The highlight of Tate's day was shopping with Papa in the toy store down the main drag...Papa let him pick anything he wanted! Of course, he bought 2 very cool cars that have doors and trunks that open...green and blue, his favorite colors!
Then it was off to dinner. The boys did fabulously at a pretty elegant place! Here is a pic of Papa and me.
Sleeping arrangements were interesting. We put Tate in Grandma and Papa's room to start off so we could watch some TV. Chase was snug in his pack-n-play in the bathroom, which was also quiet and dark. Then after some TV viewing, Tyler picked Tate up from the bed and took him to his own blow-up on the floor next to us out in the living room. He half woke up because when Tyler put him down his said in a very sweet and dreamy way, "I love my blankiesssss", then he was out again. Chase slept all the night through in his little corner of the condo.
Around 3 AM Tate awoke a little disoriented. So I called him up to bed with me right away and he drifted off to sleep. Daddy caught a picture of us snoozing.
We started the day bright n' early, just like at home, and watched the movie Cars until Grandma and Papa woke up.
Grandma, Papa and Tate then headed off for a morning hike while Tyler and I stayed back with a sleeping baby. Then it was time for a feed and then off to an early lunch and then home. Quick, but very fun visit! And a totally successful night away with our now family of 4. Grandma was pretty amazed at the amount of things we needed for only 1 night, but need it we did! We used everything we brought. FUN FUN!!! THANKS Grandma and Papa! Here is a pic from the condo balcony, it was just beautiful!
