We have always had nice cameras, but I was secretly a touch envious of those with SLRs that take just cleaner, crisper pictures...AND better close ups, which I like best. So when we had some Sears bucks (dollars only for Sears from our credit card rewards), Tyler decided to purchase me a Canon Rebel for my 3...something birthday! :) It is awesome! At first I was a little worried about using this high-tech camera, but really they have made them fairly user friendly. And the pictures...OH MY! I am so glad we made the switch, now I can blind our children with even more flashes! This camera takes like a 1000 pictures a minute. Look for yourself, the commercial says it all!
Oh yeah, and I had to look up SLR, it means Single Lens Reflex. So the viewer sees the image through the actual picture lens. To compose the picture, a mirror reflects the light from the lens to the viewfinder. I am not exactly sure how or why, but the pictures are magnificent compared to our other little digital cameras. Thanks my love!
Tyler's note: They took over 60,000 stills for that commercial (actually with the Canon EOS-1D Mark III)... very cool (http://www.usa.canon.com/app/html/NFL/index.html?id=commercial).
