Raspberries!

I thought for sure it wouldn’t be until next year that we would get a raspberry harvest from the plants we just put in the ground this IMG_4047year, but I went out the other day and to my surprise, there were the beginnings of 2 little raspberries (they are hard to see in this picture, but they are there!). And I see more little flowers every time I go out, so I think we may get a few raspberries this year – yummy!

And the rest of the garden is slowly but surely coming along. My cucumbers are probably not going to make it, I don’t have much more hope for the tomatoes. I see lots of lettuce popping up, maybe I can harvest a few leaves in another week or so, and I have about 4 or 5 little squash plants starting to grow. The bush beans look fantastic! Chives look great, carrot sprouts are still tiny. And I planted some flowers to spice up the mix, but can’t really tell where they are anymore. So it will be exciting to see what happens in the next few weeks!
