Good Wholesome Entertainment

It is so fun when a movie takes me by surprise! We recently watched Believe In Me. I noticed The Family Christian Stores had it for sale the last time I was browsing, so I was curious. After seeing Fireproof I have been on a kick to find all the best Christian movies believe in me(with some success, not tons). Granted, this movie does not necessarily have a Christian message, it is clean and, best of all, has a positive adoption story! It is based on true events and overall, a great feel-good movie that was worth my 108 minutes!

See Bella!

We finally saw the movie Bella. It has been a while since a movie has moved me as much as this one. I had to watch it again before sending it back to Netflix, I couldn't get it out of my mind. At first, I thought it was going to be a simple character-focused drama. But once the movie ended, I started to ponder the underlying themes and realized that it is an extremely powerful story. The subtitle of the movie is "A love story that goes beyond romance", which is a perfect description. The adoption angle, of course, struck a personal cord. The movie opens with the main character saying, "My grandmother used to say, 'If you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans." How true! Even when life does not play out the way we plan, God has something even better in mind. See this movie!

for us in the future!
